These whales migrate to Baja California Sur typically between December and April to breed, give birth, and raise their calves in warm, calm, and more protected waters.

The area serves as a vital nursery and mating ground, allowing babies to thrive safe from predators (well…not always 🐼) and cold northern temperatures.

La semana pasada, nuestros estudiantes salieron del aula para explorar la historia de Baja California Sur desde el territorio y la experiencia directa.

• Primer grado realizó un recorrido por el centro de Todos Santos para conocer su origen, las misiones y los cambios económicos y sociales del pueblo, acompañados por el Dr. Diego Ramírez Meza.

• Segundo grado viajó a La Paz para conocer la Misión de Nuestra Señora del Pilar y visitar el Museo Regional de Antropología e Historia, profundizando en el contexto social, político y cultural de la región, con el acompañamiento de la historiadora Silvana Unzon.

• Tercer grado visitó El Triunfo, donde pudieron comprender el pasado minero del lugar y su relación con procesos globales como la industrialización, los cambios sociales y las dinámicas económicas, también guiados por la historiadora Silvana Unzon.

Estas experiencias forman parte de nuestros proyectos interdisciplinarios, donde el aprendizaje se conecta con la comunidad, el territorio y la realidad.
